ICSE is known for breadth. In Class 10, Science is examined as three separate papers — Physics, Chemistry and Biology — History & Civics and Geography are papers of their own, and English is split into English Language and Literature in English. Most subjects also carry internal assessment or project work alongside the written exam.

That breadth is demanding. A student can be comfortably on top of Physics and quietly slipping in Literature, and with so many subjects running at once the slip may go unnoticed until the preliminary exams. One-to-one tuition lets you put class time where it is needed this term, rather than moving every subject forward at the same speed.

• ✓Mathematics — for ICSE Class 10 this includes commercial maths (GST, banking, and shares and dividends), matrices, loci and constructions, alongside algebra, trigonometry and statistics.
• ✓Physics, Chemistry and Biology — taught as the separate subjects ICSE examines, with practice on numericals, labelled diagrams and the precise definitions the papers expect.
• ✓English Language and Literature in English — composition, letters and comprehension in one paper; the prescribed drama, prose and poetry in the other.
• ✓ISC (Classes 11 and 12) — Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, at the greater depth the Class 12 board exam requires.

CISCE sets the syllabus, but schools choose their own textbooks and teaching order, so two ICSE schools in the same town can be on different chapters in the same month. Tuition starts from your child’s books, notebooks and school timetable: the tutor works on the chapter being taught this week and circles back to earlier ones whenever a gap shows.

As the ICSE Class 10 or ISC Class 12 board exam approaches, classes move towards exam-style practice — answering within the space and time available, labelling diagrams fully, showing working in Maths and Physics numericals, and writing definitions exactly rather than approximately.

A written summary is prepared after every class and checked by our team before it reaches your parent portal. It records the subject and chapter, the questions your child attempted, where they hesitated and how that was resolved, and the revision set for next time.

The portal keeps those summaries next to the history of completed classes. With several ICSE subjects in play at once, that gives you one place to see which subjects are moving steadily and which need more attention — without having to ask your child for a report card every week.
